We've started this blog to chronicle our experiences, travels, and activities in the Pacific Northwest. We also hope to use this a way to keep our friends and family updated on what we are doing.
We started our day with a trip to the local coffee shop. We roll down the hill from our house to this spot and watch the world go by until we are ready to start the day.
Next up was the farmer's market here in Poulsbo. We go every Saturday and always leave with a lots of things to eat for the week. And, as you can see, no one is safe from Baylee's never-ending quest for treats.
After that, we took Baylee home so she could have a nice, long, uninterrupted nap while we did some exploring. We ended up at Port Hadlock, WA where we took a quick picture.
And then Port Townsend WA where we did a little shopping and stopped in at a cute, little, wonderful bakery for a fantastic almond cookie.
More on Port Townsend in future posts as we hope to be spending some of our weekend time there in the coming weeks.
Hope you enjoyed our first blog post. Have a great week!
First, a short explanation about the title "It's the Weekend!" We picked up on this phrase a couple years ago from the TV cooking show personality Ina Garten. Whenever she added extra cream, butter or liquor to a recipe, she would simply say, "what the heck, it's the weekend." We like that spirit. Now on to the blog....
